• About Me:
Originally from Arizona, my mom moved me and my three older siblings to Oregon
when I was a very young child. I have lived in Eugene my whole life as far as
memory goes. Marriage at an early age didn’t leave room for college until
much later in life. Turns out, I enjoyed the experience even more! I have a one-year
certificate as an accounting clerk and a one-year certificate for administrative
assistant from Lane Community College. I am a mom of two beautiful and very active
boys. My time away from work is spent always being a mom first, homeowner second,
and if there is any time left, you will find me enjoying a good book, my feet
up with something cold to drink in a very quiet corner of my house!

What I do at RDI:
I am a program assistant primarily for the Ford Institute Leadership Program.
I make sure RDI facilitators and lead trainers have the material and tools they
need so they can go out to rural communities and successfully deliver flawless
leadership trainings! I am also in constant contact through email with those
who attend our leadership trainings in addition to the caterers who feed our
communities so well.
•
State where I was born:
Arizona
• What I wanted to be when I was 8 years old:
A Charlie’s Angels girl and a mom with at least 10 kids! I’ve always
loved children especially the baby girls.
•
Interesting previous job(s) I've held:
I once was a housekeeper for a major hotel chain. I would not eat in the employee
break room because it was incredibly filthy! After two weeks, I resigned to take
care of a newborn baby girl. She belonged to a friend’s friend who was
homeless at the time. Although this was for six months, it led to 4 ½ years
of in home daycare before I had children of my own.
•
One of my personal goals for :
Go through ALL of the boxes in my garage and shed in the backyard that have moved
with me four times in five years. And START printing and scrap booking digital
photos that are on my computer.
• A place I want to visit at least once in my lifetime:
Not too far; I would love to take a long family vacation, not just with my children
but extended family too. Perhaps Hawaii or I would love to take my boys to Disney
World in Florida.
• My favorite book and why:
Not sure of a favorite but it’s definitely NOT any of the Star Wars books.
I’ve been reading this series to my boys for way too long!
• My favorite board game:
At my house it is the original Chutes and Ladders game.
• The coolest thing someone has done for me:
When I was way short in the financial department, my oldest child returned his
$5.00 allowance to help out. I accepted his offer and kept it for a few days
before I returned it to him. This was a huge gesture on his part and I wanted
him to know how much I appreciated it. He is a very cool kid!
