• About Me:
I grew up in Portland, Oregon and have lived in several other places including Alaska and New Mexico. I have an extensive background in planning, education, and outreach and have worked for numerous local and state agencies and organizations. Before working for RDI, I worked with Linn County to develop a Cultural Plan for the Oregon Cultural Trust and the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board to develop an Education and Outreach Strategy. My program experience includes working with youth and teachers, collaborating with artists and arts organizations, designing curriculum, facilitating meetings and planning processes, creating partnerships, and developing outreach strategies. I also started my career in the field of natural resources and have solid knowledge of the environmental issues facing the Northwest.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Lewis and Clark College and a Master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon. My passions include natural resources, arts, youth and community building. I currently live in Corvallis, Oregon with my dog Winnie.

• What I do at RDI:
I am a member of the field staff and work on community development, planning and leadership projects in rural communities around the state. Recently I have increasingly focused my energy in creating meaningful programming for youth. This work has included finding ways to successfully engage youth at the annual Regards to Rural Conference; designing Leadership workshops for high school youth; and facilitating the creation of a Peer Mediation program for middle school youth. I enjoy this opportunity to connect with the younger members of our rural communities.
