• About Me:
I am from Venezuela; I moved to the Unites States, Eugene Oregon, in 2001. In
order to learn English I began to take classes at Lane Community College in April
2001 at the ESL program (English as a Second Language). In 2002, I decided to
continue my education and graduated with honors with an associate’s degree
in E-business at Lane Community College in June 2006.
My favorite thing to do in life is snorkeling in the warm waters of Venezuela,
and in my spare time I enjoy working out at the gym, swimming, spending time
with my friends, and learning new things related with graphics and finances.
• What I do at RDI:
I am currently working at RDI as an office assistant. I answer the phones; keep
track of FILP classes to have materials ready for their meetings. I collect data
from surveys; I send out mass mailings; I do mass printing. I help to translate
documents to Spanish. I love to work at RDI because I learn something new everyday.

When I was I child I wanted to be a lawyer because I wanted to help others.
•
Interesting previous job(s) I've held:
When I was a teenager I helped my mother selling clothes, but to be able to sell
more I had to set up a street vendor cart and sell clothing on the street with
other “buhoneros.”

Return to the gym and keep myself in a good shape. I would like to go to Miami
in 2008 and be able to wear a swimming suit.

One thing that I would love to do before I die is to go back and visit my dear
country, Venezuela.
• My favorite book and why:
My favorite book is Doña Bárbara. It is a novel written by a Venezuelan
author Rómulo Gallegos published in 1929. I had to read it in high school,
and I enjoyed it a lot.

• The coolest thing someone has done for me:
My husband did the coolest thing for me when he proposed to me. He gave me a
huge beautiful engagement ring and huge rose arrangement.
