RDI’s Clean Economy Acceleration Program (CEAP) will be located in the three-state region of California, Oregon, and Washington.

The governors and staff from the three states will have the opportunity to participate in three Acceleration Academies where they will work to create innovative clean economy policies and financing mechanisms necessary for emerging clean economy sectors to generate significantly higher public and private investments and job growth, resulting in a more vibrant regional economy.

Rural communities will benefit from three facilitated Rural Community Forums, providing communities with factual, science-based information about the myriad implications of clean energy project development choices so that they can prioritize and pursue opportunities that will result in clean economy investment and jobs. These forums will be held in rural Oregon, Washington, and California and will take place in communities with significant wind, wave, and biomass energy resources.

CEAP will spur greater economic activity by creating a unique regional acceleration network linking governors’ offices and key stakeholders in west coast states in the areas of workforce development, public/private infrastructure financing, and collaborative community engagement. This regional acceleration network will focus on market opportunities in such areas as energy efficiency, broadband, new environmental markets and sustainable infrastructure.
