Amanda Close

Rural Economic Vitality Consultant

I grew up in Grants Pass and completed my BS from the University of Oregon in General Science. Like many, I couldn’t wait to spread my wings and fly away. I landed in Seattle and worked in the private sector for many years before I attended graduate school at Seattle Pacific University. After completing my MBA, I spent 17 years as a business consultant developing and delivering leadership training and facilitating organizational change. With each passing year, the pull to return to Southern Oregon grew stronger. Now that I am back it feels so “right” being home again and there is no place I’d rather be. Southern Oregon is an amazing place, and I am honored to be able to work to help economic success in our rural communities. When I am not out working in the Southwest region of the state, I am home with my husband, Mark, and our three sons on our small farm in Azalea.
