We're hiring a Program Manager to provide training and facilitation services for rural locations throughout the Pacific Northwest, predominantly in Washington state.
The Program Manager will deliver or co‐train RDI’s renowned leadership development course and walk beside community members as they strive to create economic vitality and resiliency in their region. The Program Manager will also provide hands‐on leadership and program management, act as liaison, coordinator, facilitator/trainer, and primary contact to assess needs and opportunities and develop proposals for RDI services. Position includes a wide range of responsibilities from program design to budgeting, stakeholder relations, participant recruitment, service implementation, and evaluation.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a high level of initiative, follow-up skills, and attention to detail with demonstrated flexibility and abilities to adapt to change. Candidate should have three years of direct experience in community or economic development, or five years of related experience that reflects an understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing rural communities. Bachelor’s degree in an area related to economic and community development is required. A master’s degree is preferred. A personal understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing rural communities in the Pacific Northwest and a passion for work that results in vital rural economies are required.
Compensation and Location
Starting annual salary range is $40–$65,000, with a robust benefit package. The location of this position is flexible within the states of Oregon and Washington. Significant travel is required throughout the Pacific Northwest, mainly in Washington. Work hours during the week may be modified to balance workload.
