Interested in serving your rural community, expanding your leadership skills, connecting to others, or making a difference? The Mason County Rural Community Leadership program may be for you!
Beginning October 2019, this is the third cohort being held in Mason County. The leadership training consists of a structured, 48-hour curriculum that emphasizes an interactive and facilitative style, which draws on the knowledge and skills of the participants as well as the curriculum. A typical class consists of 30 to 35 individuals ranging from high school students to retired seniors and with varied leadership experience ranging from emerging to seasoned. Each class selects a project to complete, which provides participants a unique opportunity to apply the skills being taught by the curriculum to a real-life situation.
Sessions kick off in October and run through March 2020. There is no cost to participate in the Mason County Rural Community Leadership program thanks to the generous support of the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound
and other funders and business leaders.
